Our story

Hey tribe!! My name is Beverly Malbranche, founder & CEO of Caribbrew. Thanks for stopping by our website.

We are 100% black owned, from farmers in Haiti to roasters and distributors. We are all about economic development and supporting our community.

It all started in my first economics class in 2010. I saw a list of countries ranked by GDP, and my country, Haiti, was at the bottom of that list. I was devastated! I knew that we could overcome this!

There, a passion was ignited for me to make a difference. My entrepreneurial journey started when I was selling Haitian artworks on Ebay lol! May be that explains why our coffee packaging is so artistic 😂😅

Then one year later, I switched to coffee!
Why coffee?? I have an uncle who is a coffee connoisseur! He always came back from Haiti with a carry-on bag full of coffee and proudly shared with his friends in the States!! I got curious about it and surely fell in love with our coffee as well!

Knowing that we produce GREAT coffee, I embarked on a journey to revive Haiti’s coffee industry and create sustainable jobs. I had to learn a lot about the coffee industry (still learning) and since then, we have worked with hundreds of farmers through Cooperatives, such as COOPCAB in Thiotte, Haiti.

In addition, we have worked with many young adults in Haiti to roast, package, and ship our coffee to the US. Here in the States, we hire locals in Newark NJ to make our coffee scrubs and to ship your package to your lovely home!

It’s been a journey, and I wouldn’t change anything about it! Thankful for everyone who supported us this far. Grateful for my family, especially my brothers who have been there since Day 1. I thank God for this opportunity and the best is yet to come!!! Happy brewing!! Now you know a little bit more about us!
